“According to the legislative amendment, it is proposed to delegate the powers of amending and adding the acts, which preserved their legal force, adopted by regional, city, township and village councils and their executive bodies, as well as recognizing them as invalid, to the heads of communities,” the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan said.

On September 7, the draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Local Self-Government authored by the Government was debated in the first reading at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environmental Protection.

“It is not about changes in a content and profession, but about harmonizing these legal acts with modern changes: street names, change in passport metrics, technical and other changes that were not made,” the key rapporteur Vache Terteryan noted.

The Committee endorsed the draft.

The debate of the package of draft laws on Amending the Law on Protection of Atmospheric Air and the related ones has been postponed for up to two months.
